Inspiring Young Musicians: Norwich Primary Academy's Music Mark Recognition

This year Norwich Primary Academy became a Music Mark School! This was awarded in recognition of our commitment to providing a high-quality music education for all children. 

We have recently had a variety of musicians visiting the school to perform for our pupils; classical musicians, a visiting rock band and The Tiny Magic Orchestra. Our year 3 pupils have all had a block of singing lessons and our year 4 pupils have all had Samba drumming lessons. 

All year groups were involved in Christmas productions of a very high quality and our year 5 pupils represented us at the Trust Christmas Carol Service. Some pupils went to the Forum to sing carols for the public. We are really grateful to the Trust Visiting Music Teachers and our music lead Mrs Rogan-Mcdouall for all their hard work and the opportunities they provide for the children of Norwich Primary Academy. 

The Music Mark schools programme celebrates schools who are committed to providing a high-quality music education, supporting members through training and resources, connecting them with the wider music education network across the UK. Their vision is for accessible and excellent musical learning and engagement, inspiring and enriching the lives of all children and young people.
