New Principal Appointed at Norwich Primary Academy

Norwich Primary Academy is pleased to welcome Tanya Blake to the role of Principal from 1st January 2024. This follows a heartfelt goodbye to Principal, Titus Cotton.  

During his time with the school, Mr Cotton shared many talents and worked extremely hard, and we know staff, parents and children will miss him. 

Mrs Blake is an experienced and valued Principal who will continue to build on the strong foundations already in place at the school. Mrs Blake has spent the last nine years raising achievement in a leadership role at Stradbroke Primary Academy, having been at the school throughout its journey from 'Special Measures' to 'Good'. Mrs Blake started her role as Head of School in 2016, and advanced into the role of Principal at Stradbroke Primary Academy in 2018. 

Mrs Blake’s relentlessly positive leadership has ensured Stradbroke Primary Academy embodies the ambitious and transformational ethos of Inspiration Trust, ensuring all pupils achieve their full potential. Mrs Blake’s passion for achieving excellence has meant that results have risen year-on-year, but most importantly, ensuring pupils achieve the best that they can, has become part of the culture.   

Mrs Blake has mentored and coached many colleagues who have gone on to leadership roles and in turn led school improvement, and has taught and led in a variety of schools for over 30 years, ranging from inner city Hackney, the Yorkshire Dales and Norfolk. 

We are confident that Mrs Blake, supported by Inspiration Trust, and the committed staff team at Norwich Primary Academy, will continue to ensure the best possible education for its pupils and forge strong links with parents, carers, and the wider community.
